KOTA SAMARAHAN – 6 Jan: On the 6th and 7th of January, Cempaka College and Meranti College from the University of Mara Technology had a collaboration. As many as 10 students from Meranti College came to Cempaka College while the collaboration took place.

After that, some of the students bought some ingredients needed for the barbeque and went to the boathouse in UNIMAS to give the kayaking activity a try. After dinner time, the college committees between Cempaka and Meranti took the time to exchange information on how their systems work too. Each college committee also took the chance to present their benchmarks between Meranti and Cempaka.

On the first day of their arrival, the College Committee of Cempaka brought the students along to show them the different places available around the University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). The students also took the time to visit Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Hall since there was an entrepreneur carnival going on.

On the second day, the College Committee members gathered at 9 a.m. and departed for Kampung Telaga Air at 9:30 in the morning. At 11 a.m., they arrived at the village and decided to do a clean-up, as the students were split into groups of 3. Around noon, they took a boat to Kampung Sibu Laut and were given a tour by one of the Cempaka College Committee members, Ruzaini. They also took the time to visit several places around the area to enjoy the local cuisine and scenery.

At 4 in the evening, everyone headed back to Cempaka College and prepared for the barbeque event at night to celebrate the smooth sailing activity that just happened in the morning. It was also a way of welcoming the committee members of Meranti College. By the end of the night, after a photography session to remember the moment together, the committee members of Meranti College parted ways.
