
KOTA SAMARAHAN - 26 Dec: A delightful Cempaka Christmas Celebration was organized by the CREATIST Club at Cempaka College. This blessed Christmas was celebrated together with Cempaka’s College Principal En Mohd Hafizan bin Hashim, Fellows, and Cempaka residents. This Christmas celebration was carried out fervently. The stunning makeshift Christmas tree and decorations had everyone mesmerized. The event begins with a prayer. All the students were provided with drinks, and they also brought their own food for the potluck. The mood was lightened by Ceria Busking Cempaka's performance with the song “Mistletoe” and “Winter Thing”.
A short while later, the Modern Dance Crew did a medley performance for the audience. Everyone was amazed at how well they danced. After they finished, a "Dear Santa" activity got started. Participants are required to draw Santa Claus using their own imaginations as Aliff Adafi who dressed up as the Santa helped by posing a few styles. Soon after, a game of musical chair with a twist begins. The rules are the same as the regular musical chairs the only difference is that after the music ends participants are required to sit still or else, they will be disqualified.

Around 9:20 p.m., the VIPs arrived. The Cempaka College Principal followed by Dr. Nurul Hanim Binti Nasaruddin, and Careena Wilma Anak Paul Sebli as the organizer of the event, along with the President of the Cempaka Student Representatives. Furthermore, there was also a performance by Allamanda's Busking Team where they sang "Feliz Navidad". After that, Dr. Nurul Hanim delivered a heartfelt speech where she mentioned the objectives of the event was to make others feel welcomed among the diversity races of Sarawak especially for the students from Peninsular Malaysia. Finally, the awaited activity of the night soon begins, all participants were given the chance to choose a random gift under the Christmas tree.
At 9:40 p.m., Dr. Nurul Hanim and En Mohd Hafizan did a gimmick of the night by hanging Christmas ornaments on the makeshift Christmas tree. Before the Christmas celebration come to an end, all the Christian students gathered around one last time and prayed together. It is safe to say that this year’s Christmas celebration went off without a hitch.
