In this year's Ramadan month, a special event called "Cempaka Berbuka 1.0" was hosted by Cempaka College on the 3rd of April 2024.
Among the guests of honour who also enlivened the program were Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Al-Khalid bin Hj Othman the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni of UNIMAS; Tuan Haji Azlan Bin Ramli, UNIMAS Registrar; Miss Hajah Azeemah Binti Ahmad, Director of the UNIMAS Student Service Centre; Mr. Halmi Bin Mosli, Manager of Bank Rakyat Samarahan Branch; Mr. Mohd Amin bin Mohd Ismail, Principal of Cempaka College; as well as Muhammad Danial Bin Zainal Abidin, the Director of Cempaka Berbuka 1.0 and Ahmad Nasri Bin Sharata, who is the President of Cempaka College.

This event started at 8 a.m. with the preparation of the ingredients for the bubur lambuk. At 10:50 a.m., the process of cooking the bubur lambuk which consist of meat and chicken was carried out. The ambience was further enlivened with couple of raya songs being sung by the members of CREATIST Club. After the bubur lambuk was cooked, the packaging process was carried out by the college representatives with the help from some members from the welfare club. Mr. Awang Shamsulizha Awang Zulkifli, as the fellow of Cempaka College was also seen at the scene to help the students pack the porridge.
At 4:30 p.m. the guests of honour began to arrive, and a prayer was recited after their arrival. Soon after, a short speech was given by the director of the program, followed by a symbolic gimmick of handing over bubur lambuk to each of the college representatives. Once done, a photo session was held as a memento for this program.
While waiting for the Maghrib prayer, the guests was entertained by array of performance by the CREATIST club. The principal of Cempaka College even decided to join in on one of their performances making the moment even precious. There was several stalls from Cempaka Night Stall that was available to offer a variety of food for the students that attended the program. Before the Maghrib prayer was called for the students sat together watching the sunset before iftar.
The night ended with the participants reliving their childhood memory by playing fireworks and lighting up the traditional lamp called, pelita. It is safe to say that the event had left quite the impression on everybody as they all went back with smiles and a lot of good memories regarding the event.
